 Internships

Owens & Minor recognizes that developing talent for the future is essential to maintaining our competitive advantage.  Our Internship Program provides opportunities for students from top universities to achieve their professional goals through hands-on projects, mentoring, networking, and exposure to our world-class supply-chain organization.

We select interns from across the nation who display leadership skills, high academic achievement, and the desire to learn.  To maximize their development,we have assigned each intern a manager and a mentor.  Our mentors are selected senior leaders that provide a wealth of knowledge in the fields of supply chain management and other business disciplines such as sales, accounting, finance, law, communications, business planning, and human resources.

In addition to meaningful work assignments at the Home Office, distribution centers, and select customer locations, our interns can utilize Owens & Minor University where they can take professional or technical courses online or in a classroom setting.

Supply-Chain Internship Program
The Supply-Chain Internship Program is designed as a two-summer opportunity for highly qualified college students studying in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Health Care fields. This program merges theoretical understanding of supply-chain with tactical experience to provide a broad knowledge of distribution, sales, and operational functions of a world-class supply-chain organization.

Internship Program
The Internship Program for Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance and Human Resources is designed to provide highly qualified college students with an understanding and knowledge of the overall business experience. Each department offers a specialized hands-on experience developing and analyzing products and services for our teammates and the company as a whole.

Partnership for the Future
The Partnership for the Future is a three-summer internship program. The Partnership program provides summer jobs for qualifying high school students. The students make a direct contribution while gaining work experience and employment life skills, as well as support during the transition from high school to higher education.
