This week-long program provides a comprehensive overview of healthcare supply chain management for medical material management leaders. Its goal is to accelerate the development and preparation of these personnel for critical positions in the healthcare industry. Owens & Minor University offers participants a unique opportunity to acquire an enterprise-wide perspective on the complex challenges of today's healthcare supply chain environment. Each session is developed to provide opportunities for discussion, analysis, and application of learning to real-life situations. The week begins with a tour of our local distribution center and ends with a capstone exercise culminating the knowledge gained throughout the week. The goal of this exercise is to challenge students to put to use new leadership and teamwork skills in the face of real supply chain problems from their current jobs. The program is offered in the Spring and Fall.
