An Environment to Facilitate Learning

The Owens & Minor University campus was created to allow busy teammates to become focused students during their training. 

The 15,000 square-foot facility in Mechanicsville, Virginia represents Owens & Minor's investment in its teammates—and offers our customers’ an offsite option for OMU training sessions. The facility includes a number of features that support the optimum learning environment:

• Development Centers where course participants learn through role-playing and video-taped practice. Owens & Minor hosts leaders from the field who share their real-world knowledge and then guide course participants to learn by doing.
• A computer lab where Owens & Minor customers and teammates practice working with computer software and custom applications.
• An auditorium that seats 450 and can convert to three smaller conference rooms.
• A library of more than 1,000 resources on a variety of topics including leadership, communication, teamwork, behavioral interviewing, wellness and more.
