  • G. Gilmer Minor III

    Chairman of the Board

    G. Gilmer Minor, III, is Chairman of the Board of Owens & Minor. Mr. Minor, who joined the Company in 1963, has served as Chairman of the Board since 1994 and served as Chief Executive Officer from 1984 to 2005. Mr. Minor retired from the Company effective November 1, 2005. He also serves on the board of directors of SunTrust Banks, Inc. Mr. Minor has been a director of the Company since 1980.

  • James E. Rogers

    Lead Director

    James E. Rogers, has served as President of SCI Investors Inc, a private equity investment firm, since 1993. He also serves on the boards of directors of Caraustar Industries, Inc. and NewMarket Corporation. Mr. Rogers has been a director of the Company since 1991.

  • A. Marshall Acuff Jr.

    A. Marshall Acuff, Jr., is President of AMA Investment Counsel, LLC, a business consulting firm, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He also serves as a Managing Director of Cary Street Partners, a financial management and investment banking firm. He retired in 2001 as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Salomon Smith Barney, Inc. where he was responsible for equity strategy as a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee. Mr. Acuff has been a director of the Company since 2001.

  • J. Alfred Broaddus Jr.

    J. Alfred Broaddus, Jr., is retired. He previously served as President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond from 1993 until his retirement in 2004. During his tenure as President, Mr. Broaddus also served as a rotating member of the Federal Open Market Committee of the Federal Reserve System. He also serves on the boards of directors of Albemarle Corporation, Markel Corporation and T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. Mr. Broaddus has been a director of the Company since 2004.

  • Richard E. Fogg

    Richard E. Fogg, retired in 1997 from the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse, LLP (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) where he was a partner for 23 years and served in a variety of leadership positions, including Associate Vice Chairman, Tax. Mr. Fogg is a Certified Public Accountant. Since his retirement in 1997, Mr. Fogg has provided strategic consulting services to several non-public companies. Mr. Fogg has been a director of the Company since 2003.

  • John W. Gerdelman

    John W. Gerdelman, was appointed to the board of directors in October 2010. Gerdelman currently serves as president of Long Lines Limited, a telecommunications provider serving business and residential customers in Northwest Iowa. Before joining Long Lines, Gerdelman was executive chairman and co-founder of Intelliden Corporation, a network solutions provider. Intelliden was acquired by IBM in 2010. Gerdeleman served in a number of leadership positions for other telecommunications companies, including 15 years with MCI Communications Corporation. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., Sycamore Networks, Inc. and Proxim Wireless Corporation. Gerdelman also serves on the board of visitors of the College of William and Mary.

  • Lemuel E. Lewis

    Lemuel E. Lewis, is president of LocalWeather.com, a web-based privately held media company he founded in 2008. He served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Landmark Communications, Inc., a privately-held media and broadcasting company, from 2000 to 2006. Lewis was appointed to the board of the Federal Reserve Bank in 2004, where he served as deputy chairman from 2007 to 2008, chairman of the audit committee from 2005 to 2008, and chairman from 2009 until his retirement. He currently serves on the boards of Markel Corporation and Dollar Tree, Inc.

  • Eddie N. Moore Jr.

    Eddie N. Moore, Jr., is President of Virginia State University. Prior to assuming this position in 1993, Mr. Moore served as state treasurer for the Commonwealth of Virginia, heading the Department of the Treasury and serving on fifteen state boards and authorities. He also serves on the board of directors of Universal Corporation. Mr. Moore has been a director of the Company since 2005.

  • Robert C. Sledd

    Robert C. Sledd, is Managing Partner of Pinnacle Ventures, LLC and Sledd Properties, LLC. He served as Chairman of Performance Food Group Co. (“PFG”), a foodservice distribution company, from 1995 until June 2008. He served as Chief Executive Officer of PFG from 1987 to 2001 and from 2004 to 2006. He also serves on the board of SCP Pool Corporation. Mr. Sledd has been a director of the Company since 2007.

  • Craig R. Smith

    Craig R. Smith, has served as President & Chief Executive Officer of Owens & Minor since 2005. Mr. Smith, who joined the Company in 1989, served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company from 1999 until 2005 and as Chief Operating Officer of the Company from 1995 to 1999. He also serves on the SunTrust Central Virginia Richmond Advisory Board. Mr. Smith has been a director of the Company since 2005.

  • Anne Marie Whittemore

    Anne Marie Whittemore, has been a partner in the law firm of McGuireWoods LLP since 1977. She also serves on the boards of directors of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. and Albemarle Corporation. Ms. Whittemore has been a director of the Company since 1991.

  • Craig R. Smith

    Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer

    Craig R. Smith is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Owens & Minor; he was named Chairman in April 2013, and he has served as President & Chief Executive Officer of Owens & Minor since 2005. Mr. Smith, who joined the Company in 1989, served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company from 1999 until 2005 and as Chief Operating Officer of the Company from 1995 to 1999.  Mr. Smith has been a director of the Company since 2005.

  • Martha H. Marsh

    Martha H. Marsh is the Retired President & CEO of Stanford Hospital and Clinics, a position she held from 2002 to 2010. She also served as the CEO of the University of California Davis (UCD) Health System.  Marsh received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and earned both an MBA and an MPH from Columbia University. Ms. Marsh has also served on a variety of healthcare boards and committees. In 2004, she was named by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of the nation’s 100 most powerful people in healthcare. Ms. Marsh has been a director of the Company since 2012.

  • Eddie N. Moore Jr.

    Eddie N. Moore, Jr., is President of Virginia State University.     G. Gilmer Minor, III, is Chairman Emeritus.  Mr. Minor, who joined the Company in 1963, served as Chairman of the Board from 1994 to April 2013 and served as Chief Executive Officer from 1984 to 2005. Mr. Minor retired from the Company effective November 1, 2005. He also serves on the board of directors of SunTrust Banks, Inc. Mr. Minor has been a director of the Company since 1980.
