In honor of International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW), Owens & Minor is offering this complimentary continuing education program: Everything You Wanted to Know about Sepsis but Were Afraid to Ask on Friday, October 22 from 1:00pm – 2:30pm.
This webinar program will review the stages of sepsis and the impacts to the patient. In addition, the program will review in detail the most current evidence-based recommendations for sepsis treatment from the Society of Critical Care Medicine as well as prevention and recognition bundles designed to improve clinical outcomes. Continuing Education Credits of 1.5 contact hours is available for nursing professionals upon the completion of the program. The President and CEO of Community Health Associates, LLC, Dr. Hudson Garrett has a faculty appointment as an adjunct assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is a frequent international lecturer in the areas of infectious diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and infection prevention and control. He is board-certified in Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control. Dr. Garrett is also a member of OSAP/DANB Infection Control Certificate and Certification Steering Commission (ICCCSC).
