Dirk Benson serves as an executive vice president (EVP) and the chief commercial officer (CCO) for Owens & Minor, shaping the company’s enterprise-wide commercial strategy and leading the U.S. commercial sales organization.

Dirk joined Owens & Minor in February 2026, bringing more than 30 years of leadership and commercial experience in the healthcare industry. Most recently, Dirk served as president of the U.S. distribution business at Henry Schein, where he led an enterprise-wide integration program to elevate the customer experience while overseeing commercial and operational functions. Prior to that, he spent 27 years at Medline Industries, where he held progressively senior leadership roles to expand the company’s reach across healthcare market segments.

Dirk holds a Bachelor of Economics from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
