Owens & Minor is committed to being a force for good in healthcare and in the communities where our teammates live and work.

Together, We Make Healing Happen

You can feel the spirit of community engagement throughout our organization. We know we're connected by purpose to our customers, their patients, and our communities all across the U.S. and Europe. Our teammates participate enthusiastically as active members of our larger, global communities. Every year, our teammates devote thousands of hours raising funds and volunteering with community groups. In addition, Owens & Minor supports numerous charities, including major initiatives focused on healthcare and community wellness, as well as the needs of children and their education.

A Soldier's Child Foundation (ASC)

People wrapping gifts.Together as a company, Owens & Minor supports ASC's efforts to let the children of fallen soldiers know that their parents' sacrifices will not be forgotten. We participate in ASC's birthday celebrations for these young people, as well as in mentorship programs and summer camps.

At Owens & Minor, we are committed to being a purpose-driven company that shares our time, energy, and resources with our communities. The ASC Foundation gives us an excellent opportunity to extend our purpose to those in our communities who might need our help. Together, we make healing happen for these young people who have lost so much.

VCU Massey Cancer Center

A person writing on a wall. The Massey Cancer Center is ranked among the top 4% of cancer centers in the country, and has been designated by the National Cancer Institute to lead and shape America's cancer research efforts. Our focus on healthcare inspires us to get involved in a variety of ways, from sponsoring the center's annual 10k road race—one of the largest in the United States—to providing in-house healthcare education for our teammates and their families.

The Owens & Minor teammates are kind, engaged, and committed, and we look forward to working with each and every one of them—both inside and outside the office. As volunteers, the O&M teammates are a unified force, with an enthusiastic interest in making activities successful and meaningful.

Community Food Banks

Outside of a food bank. One in seven Americans relies on local aid programs for food. That's more than 46 million people, including 12 million children and seven million seniors. Our teammates join together to fight hunger by conducting food drives, as well as volunteering at and donating money to local food pantries. We believe that making healing happen starts in our own backyard.

150 donations were made by Owens & Minor.

Supporting Good Causes Throughout Our Network

Our teammate Volunteer Council helps decide which organizations we support with hands-on time and talent each year. Our causes include:

  • American Cancer Society
  • American Diabetes Association
  • American Heart Association
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters
  • Boys & Girls Clubs
  • Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
  • Leukemia Lymphoma Society
  • March of Dimes
  • Ronald McDonald Houses
  • Special Olympics
  • YMCA, YWCA

The Owens & Minor Young Professionals were very eager and receptive to any project or opportunity that would potentially raise critical awareness and other support for the Reinhart Guest House. I feel like our mission resonated deeply with this team. I believe that through our partnership, the O&M team came quickly to realize and passionately believe that all acts of kindness truly make a difference. Their desire to connect community to the house was fantastic and helped me launch a new event, “Caffeinating for a Cause.” I love this group because they are so easy to work with and want to be present and hands-on as much as possible.
