Periodic Automatic Replenishment or PAR levels are the minimum and maximum levels quantities hospitals establish for products they hold in inventory. When a product gets close to the minimum level of a product the product should be re-ordered. Maximum PAR levels help prevent over-ordering of product. Many hospitals struggle with establishing PAR levels, often because of a lack of data.
