Owens & Minor invites the healthcare community to watch this continuing education webinar: COVID-19 and Beyond: Quelling the Pandemic using Diagnostics, Therapeutics, and Vaccinations.

This webinar program will review the important role that a combination approach of diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccinations play in reducing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The program will also address the “elephant in the room” which is the significant consequence of the prolonged response on the resiliency of healthcare providers. Finally, the webinar will discuss the evolving evidence-based treatment guidelines for COVID-19 and their application in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The objectives of the webinar include:

  • Discuss the current treatment guidelines for COVID-19 in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Review the role of diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccinations in quelling the ongoing Pandemic threat
  • Discuss the core elements of future preparedness and maintaining resiliency in healthcare providers despite challenging circumstances

Presenter: Dr. Hudson Garrett Jr. PhD, MSN, MPH, FNP-BC, IP-BC, CPPS, CFER, FNAP

The President and CEO of Community Health Associates, LLC, Dr. Hudson Garrett has a faculty appointment as an adjunct assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is a frequent international lecturer in the areas of infectious diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and infection prevention and control. He is board-certified in Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control. Dr. Garrett is also a member of OSAP/DANB Infection Control Certificate and Certification Steering Commission (ICCCSC).
