This webinar program will review the most current hot topics related to COVID-19 and beyond with a live and interactive question and answer session with Dr. Garrett. Variants, vaccine pauses, and now increases in cases have put public health officials on edge. Healthcare must remain agile and flex our expertise to respond to these emerging and ongoing challenges.

The objectives of the webinar include:

  • Discuss the current impacts of COVID-19 variants on community transmission
  • Review how federal adverse event monitoring systems generate outcome data to protect public health
  • Discuss new emerging clinical studies related to COVID-19 and specific populations such as the elderly and pregnant women

Presenter: Dr. Hudson Garrett Jr. PhD, MSN, MPH, FNP-BC, IP-BC, CPPS, CFER, FNAP

The President and CEO of Community Health Associates, LLC, Dr. Hudson Garrett has a faculty appointment as an adjunct assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is a frequent international lecturer in the areas of infectious diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and infection prevention and control. He is board-certified in Patient Safety and Infection Prevention and Control. Dr. Garrett is also a member of OSAP/DANB Infection Control Certificate and Certification Steering Commission (ICCCSC).
